Welcome to Roundtable
The monthly District Roundtable meeting provides an information and training forum for adults involved as leaders in the Scouting program. Parents and children are welcome to attend. These meetings allow attendees from all parts of the Scouting program to:
- Discuss topics of interest, both formally and informally
- Learn new skills and program topics for your unit
- Learn about upcoming District and Council events
- Meet and exchange ideas with other leaders from Northwest District
Roundtable Breakouts and Services/Activities
Monthly Roundtables start with a general meeting from 7 pm to 7:30 pm to keep everyone up to date on upcoming events and district activities. Usually we receive a few words from the District Executive, our district's professional scouter. Once the general meeting is over, there are a range of other activities:
Cub Scouting - every month there is a breakout session for Cub Scout leaders
Boy Scouting - every month there is a breakout session for Boy Scout leaders
Order of The Arrow Chapter - The Northwest OA Chapter meeting for all OA members.
Adult Training - some Roundtables include formal training sessions for Youth Protection, Fundraising, Troop Rechartering, etc.
Eagle Project Proposal Presentations and Review
Most months the district's Advancement Committee meets to review and approve Eagle Leadership Service Project Proposals. Scouts wishing to present their Eagle Project Proposals to the advancement committee for approval should contact the District Eagle Project Representative eight days prior to the roundtable to secure a place on the schedule.Click here for more information.
