What is Webelos Woods?

Webelos Woods is an outdoor activity program designed to aid the Webelos Scout in their transition into Boy Scouts. The purpose of this outdoor experience is to create a genuine desire to know more about Boy Scouting, and through fun events, give them a preview of scout skills and camping.  It will also introduce the Webelos Scouts to the organization and methods of Boy Scouting. They will work together as a Patrol under the leadership of a Boy Scout acting as their Patrol Leader under the guidance of an adult Scoutmaster with multiple Webelos Scout Patrols formed into Provisional Scout Troops.

It also offers an opportunity for parents to gain a perspective on how the Scout-led, Adult-guided methods of Boy Scouting are different from the Adult-led Cub Scouting program.

Webelos Woods fulfills all sorts of requirements including Webelos Badge and Arrow of Light requirements in the areas of Camping, Fire Building, and Cooking.  All of this is accomplished with fun Patrol Activities all day and entertaining campfire programs.
