Northwest District eNavigator Articles
On this page you will find
content related to Northwest District events and activities that are
highlighted in the eNavigator.
This month's articles are:
1 ) Do you have plans for the Centennial Scout
Sunday?
Let’s continue to spread the word of Scouting! Keep inviting your
youth to join your Scouting program. Don’t forget to plan for
Scout Sunday: February 7, 2010. Scout Sunday is a great
opportunity to promote Scouting through local newspapers, church
bulletins, and school flyers. Northwest District and Northern Star
Council have many resources to help you do this. Please contact
your District Public Relations Chair John Moriarty or District Executive
Anna Hudak for more information.
2 ) I'm a Den Leader- now what?
So you’re told that you get the Den for 1 hour a week- but what do you
do with 6-8 energetic young boys? Preparation time is short and you need
resources. Spending 1 hour a month at Roundtable (a monthly leaders
meeting) will save you hours of preparation time and give your Den a
better Cub Scouting Experience.

3 ) Webelos Transition 2010
Northwest 5th grade Webelos should have their transition Troop chosen by
this time. Webelos Leaders should be working with boys to get to their
Arrow of Light. Troop Leaders should be inviting Webelos to participate
in appropriate Boy Scout Activities. The Summit Achievement Award is a
great tool to bridge the Webelos Scouts to Boy Scouts. Visit:

for more information on the Summit Achievement Award.
Welcome to your first edition of the E-Navigator. In an effort to reduce
cost and increase effectiveness, Northwest district will continue experiment
with digital mediums. To do this, we need your email addresses.
If you want to stay connected, send your email address to
ahudak@nsbsa.org with your name, unit, and email address.
Keep your whole Pack, Troop, or Den connected by sending a roster with
names and emails.
