Roundtables are a gathering of pack, troop, crew, post and district leaders. Information on events, training opportunities and general information is provided. The forum allows an opportunity to share experiences and draw on the experience of others with similar positions. It is a fun time of fellowship which provides unit leaders the opportunity to provide a stronger program for their Scout unit.
To help motivate unit leaders and refresh their morale, enthusiasm, inspiration and vision.
To provide unit leaders with skills, techniques, ideas, information and know-how to make their unit operation successful.
To provide resources to help unit leaders in their roles.

Northern Star Council has created a webpage that has pdfs of all of the handouts the Council provides for the district roundtables each month. This allows Scouters to retrieve these if they can't find them or missed roundtable. Click here to bring up the Northern Star Council Roundtable hangfile folders. Flyers for Northwest District events are still found on the District website. It should be noted that this Council hangfile folder is a circular file: meaning that there is a subfolder for each month. The contents for the next month's roundtables will be inserted around the start of that month and will remain there for the following year. When the start of that same month in the next year approaches the flyers for the new month will replace the older content.
Each month at the Northwest District Roundtable there are announcements in the joint session at the start of the evening. Announcements are also handed out. The Roundtable Announcements have links here so that they may be retrieved if needed.
At each Northwest District Roundtable there are breakout sessions for Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting. At selected Roundtables there are also Venturing Scouting and Junior Leader breakout sessions. More on these sessions can be found in the current northwest District Roundtable Schedule, or by contacting the Roundtable Commissioners for these areas.

This year the Council is having their 6th Annual Program Planning Contest. Thanks to every unit in the District, last year 100% of all units turned in an annual program plan prior to our October deadline. Thanks also to the Commissioners Staff which worked hard to help us achieve this. The goal is to do the same this year, with the deadline being the October 11th Roundtable.
