Northwest - Do Your Best!


Northwest District is part of the Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Northwest District is comprised of the communities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, Shoreview, and the western panhandle of Maplewood.

Celebrate Scout Sunday With Us


Northwest Scouter Will Sulzbach will be giving a talk on the history of Scouting in Shoreview and NW Ramsey County at the Shoreview Historical Society meeting on Scout Sunday, February 8, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Shoreview Library, 4570 N. Victoria St. Will hopes to provide a winter camping snack as part of the presentation.He will attempt to recognize any units that are represented. Seating is limited.

Merit Badge Saturday


Merit Badge Saturday will take place on March 7th at Shepherd of the Hills from 9am to 3:30pm. First check-ins will begin at 8:30am. Merit badges being offered are: Citizenship in the Nation (session 1-2), Citizenship in the Community (session 1-2, session 3-4), Citizenship in the World (session 3-4), First Aid (session 1-2), Public Speaking (session 3), Radio (session 3-4), Truck Transportation (session 1-2, session 3-4), and Game Design (all day).

Classes still available in PERIOD ONE & PERIOD THREE

There will be four sessions. Some merit badges may last more than one session: 

Session 1: 9-10:30am

Session 2: 10:30am-12pm

Session 3: 12:30pm-2pm

Session 4: 2pm-3:30pm

Adult Leader Training offered at no cost:

Merit Badge Counselor 9-9:25 am 

Advancement in the Unit 9:30-9:50 am

Boards of Review (all ranks) 10-10:25 am

Eagle Coach Training 10:30-11:15 am

Internet Advancement 11:30 am -12:30 pm


Scouts must bring Troop approved/signed merit badge cards and complete pre-requisites before attending the event. Those requirements will be posted shortly.
