5th Grade Webelos Scout Transition to Boy Scouts

Our District has only until 3/30 to process Webelos Transition applications for the $1 transfer fee.  After 3/30 the transition fee goes up to $12.50   PLEASE submit your Webelos transfer applications to David Lovett or the Council Office by 3/30 in order to take advantage of this opportunity.  Also, the sooner we can transition our Webelos, the sooner they can start to prepare for camp with their Troop!

New Northwest District Executive, Emily Hagerman:

Emily Hagerman will be serving as Northwest District Executive as of July 1st.  Emily is a graduate of distinction from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in English.  Emily grew up in a strong Scouting Family and has also participated in Venturing as a youth member and has recently become the Assistant Advisor of Program for her Crew.  Emily is eager to start her Scouting career and is looking forward to meeting everyone in the near future.

Scouting's Journey to Excellence

“Scouting’s Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.  More information about JTE can be found on the Northwest District Roundtable page.

Create Your Own Legancy

What will be your legacy to future generations of youth in our area?
* As an active Scouter, you give generously of your time, talents, and annual Friends of Scouting gift. Thanks, again.
* Please also consider how you might continue to help Scouting succeed for another hundred years.
* The James E. West Fellowship and the Second Century Society provide ways you can do this.
* I find it satisfying to be associated with these programs and would welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you.
